Thats pretty flawed logic for any one who has really watched these guys.Margarito is a beast down the stretch in fights and has some of if not the best endurance in boxing.Cotto has worn down very badly and has had to circle backwards for 4 rounds when he got pressed hard for 8 rounds by Ndou and Shane.If any one will have trouble holding off the other guy late its Cotto.

i'll save you some time. AM has TWO sops past the 6th round in his 42 professional fights. neither stop was aginst a fighter carrying a name you would recognize. COTTO has over a DOZEN.

So GTFOH with that BS about AM being a beast and Cotto fading down the stretch bull****....

Watch the Ndou and Mosley fight.If Cotto cant break you down and you stay in his face he gets on his bike like chicken De La Hoya in the last part of the Trinidad fight.

Margarito has to start fast and keep the intensity and pace up from start to finish. And he should throw a lot of uppercuts when in range.

he needs to go the body early and often to slow cotto down. work behind the jab and keep his guard tight other than that Margarito gotta do what he does and that is throw punches in high gear.

Tony's just gotta punch all night long. Don't work exclusively to the body or the head, but attack both all night long. As long as he can maintain a constant flow of power punches he'll win the fight.

is to start off strong and get to Cotto early if he is going to win this fight. I think AM has to stop Cotto within the first 5 rounds to have a chance.

I don't think AM will be strong enough to keep Cotto off in the late rounds and if this goes past 5 Cotto will win a clear UD.

Let's see how it goes but ut looks like Cotto is going to clean out his second straight weight class...

Actually, Tony is the type of fighter that starts slow and ends strongly. I agree that he needs to start very fast and that it is his best chance, but going long distance isn't really working against him either. As much as I like Cotto, I don't think he sees the final bell. For boxing, it would be better if Cotto won though. I just see Margaritos career being more on the line than Cottos thus giving him the edge.

He was headed there with the trying to get the size advantage against Cintron...........it worried me seeing recent photos.

Like if he comes in at 180 I'd say that isn't an advantage.

If Margarito can take Cotto's jab away he has a excellent chance of winning. If Cotto's jab is as effective as it was against Gomez, Mosley and Judah, Margarito will have some big problems.If he can take Cotto's jab away he may be able to force Cotto to brawl and then he may be able to take advatge of Cotto's Chin ala Cotto vs. Torres.
