I've been off the scene lately and has been scrolling through some threads I've missed lately and I've seen a few of these feet to be fleetfooted threads.
From Harrison to Mundine to Joe Nobody.
I might be wrong but I always thought the point of boxing was to hurt your opponent more than he hurts you NOT to be fleetfooted. Of course footwork is very important in boxing and being faster than your opponent and getting in and out is a very big advantage and great to watch in a very skilled boxer but why is everybody asking about guys who do not fight with movement and talk about how they could be "fleetfooted" if they wanted to?
The point of boxing is to win your fight as easily as possible. Boxers fight the way they best see fit to win. If these guys had the ability to be "fleetfooted" they would. Sorry but if Audley Harrison had the skills to move like Ali do you really think he and his handlers would decide that Audley NOT move around effectively?......especially considering Audley's stomach for eating punches?
