I FINALLY saw the Robin Reid vs Joe Calzaghe FIGHT!

I just would like to point out a few things. I AM an open Calzaghe Hater. I can’t stand him, or his fans. This was a good fight

Round 1 – I gave this round to Reid, he was a bit more aggressive. Ref warns Reid already
Round 2 – Calz clearly hits Reid behind the head and receives absolutely no warning
Round 3 – Calz hits Reid behind the head again and still, no warning. Arrogant show boating.
Round 4 – I didn’t write anything down for this round. Gave it to Calz.
Round 5 – Reid continuously nails Calz with rights and breaks him down, good body shots as well
Round 6 – Calzaghe has no answer for Reids right hands and right hooks.. Any time he throws his right he lands. Calz makes no adjustments
Round 7 – Nothing happened here. I scored it 10-10 even.. Just like the commentators had it
Round 8 – Excessive clinching. Reid gets a lil bit dirty.. Gets a point deduction.
Round 9 – Good round for Reid. The right can’t miss again. Joe keeps holding Reid’s waist.
Round 10 – Another good round for Reid. The rights are cleanly landing. Anything Joe throws is a flurry that Reid blocks with his gloves.
Round 11 – Both guys landed bombs. Reids looked harder, but Joe landed one of them. I gave JC the edge in this round. GOOD round! Could've gone either way..
Round 12 – I thought this was a good round. Joe landed a bit more.. Gave him the round

    Final card
    115-113 for Calzaghe..

Final assessment – The rounds Reid won, he won big and clearly (clean punching, accuracy).. The rounds Joe won, were because he was just simply more active (volume punching)..

Rough fight, it could’ve been a draw or even one point ahead or Reid. The point deduction was crucial and many of the rounds could've been 10-10 (even) rounds..

Special Thanks to xplosivo for hooking me up with the fight. Thanks bro..

Was a close fight, love the War of the Worlds music intro's lol. I think the scoring was spot on. Calzaghe had long had food poisoning amongst some other health issue I think, poss hands, and he apologised post fight for his low performance. Based on that, to get a clear win allbeit not great, against a solid opponent in Reid, was pretty good going really. If he was 100%, and performed 100%, he'd have won by 5+ rounds.

              I can't stand that owned **** tho..

It was a good fight, Reid was a prime fighter and it definately looked like his shots were much harder than Joes.. Punch 4 punch ill give it to Reid. He won his rounds more decisively. every1 should check it out

In his prime Calzaghe eeks out a victory over Robin Reid, yet he would beat Hopkins prime-for-prime. Right...
