I think it will barley hit 330k. Someone quote me if I'm wrong, on this one I will be happy to own myself.
If margarito-cotto do 500,000 ppv buys......

Anything over 250k is pretty good, at $50 a pop that is like $12.5 million i am sure that is close to break even for all involved.Comment

you have to be realistic. you know me as a margarito fan but its sad to say this fight will barely do 300,000 if even that. margarito is not a known fighter and cotto did terrible ratings against judah, and lowest hbo ratings against gomez. with margarito and cotto fighting i can see this fight doing 300K at the most, you can quote me on this and bump the thread later if im wrong. marquez and pacquiao are both names, specially pacquiao, he is a god in his country having beaten names. you simply cannot compare marquez and pacquiao to cotto and margarito, both marquez and pacquiao are better known.Last edited by Xplosivo; 06-01-2008, 04:27 PM.Comment

No doubt it does over 300k maybe even 400-500k.
Boxing ppv's this year have been
Jones vs Trinidad - 500k buys
Pac vs Marquez 2 - 400k+
Pavlik vs Taylor - 250k+
All of those cards had entertaining fights, people will come back to the product if it's good.
One of the reason's Cotto vs Judah did so bad, it came 1 month after the borefest that was Oscar vs Mayweather. People were down on boxing for that uneventfull fight and dog **** of a under card. Fast forward to October and November when Boxing was having great fights like Taylor vs Pavlik and Calzaghe vs Kessler.
The PPv's for for that period were
Barrera vs Pac - 350k
Cotto vs Mosley - 340k
Mayweather vs Hatton 850k
Boxing has had nothing but very good to great fights besides Popkins vs Slappy, I see this fight being very big among the Mexicans and Ricans.Comment
