a rock and a hard place

if you could have one persons career whose would you rather have -

1)the guys whose beaten everyone from his divsion including some big names along the way

    OR

    2) the guys whose competed aginst the best and biggest names even if they are out of their comfort zone.

VOTE IN THE POLL AND THEN GIVE YOUR REASONS

what do you think is more important; fighting the best fighters in your division i.e. the top 10 fighters in your weight category, the champs and the ex-champs. or fighting the big names in order to secure big paydays or possibly making a better name for yourself.

now some of you may realize that calzaghe fits into the former catagory and hopkins into the latter, the reason im bringing it up again is because the debate around the two fighters is gettin tedious.

now try and make sure that your bias towards the two fighters doesn't get in the way of what you actual think is right. i.e. im a huge calaghe fan but i realize that he is still quite dependant on fighters like kessler doing well, as it makes joe look even better when you realize that joe cal beat him.

if you were in fantasy land and you could pick a career which one would you choose calzaghe (fighting the best fighters in your division) or hopkins (competing aginst the best and biggest names)?

This is a very bad thread. Both are doing the same thing.

Hopkins asserted dominance at MW then moved up for bigger fights.

Joe asserted dominance at SMW and has now moved up for bigger fights.

I see no point in asking this question.

It's just as hard to be a king in 1 division than it is to be a champion in multi divisions.
