Instant replay on Knockdowns

It's happened in the past a fighter is credited a knockdown when there was none and a fighter was knocked down but was ruled a slip. In big fights where it's close, every single point counts. Should instant replay be incorporated to prevent these unjustly ruling?

Why should there be instant replay? They would have to have a timeout to see if it was knockdown or not and in boxing there is never anytime outs with the exception of lowblows and to check cuts. It would take away from the flow of the fight.

Only when it's questionable. If a guy gets hit flush on the chin, no sense of going upstairs. I'm talking about questionability. Or the ref can call it a KD and make the count and have the instant replay between rounds, correcting the cards before they are handed in. I don't necessarily mean stopping the flow of the fight. There are ways around that.

When compared to a ref being fair to a fighter and making the right call, I and any other intelligent fan would give less than a **** about the flow of the fight. I would rather see a fighter that gets wrongfully dq'd for low blows get a fair shake, and boxers that claim to have slipped be shown to get knocked down. Besides, the ref could view the replay during the break between rounds.

Which is excatly my point. Mic talks about "it wouldn't boxing", but boxing shouldn't be like that. Fairness is just for fighter swho put their careers on the line every time they step foot in the ring.

I understand your opinion but how is it like saying scoring should be made public? Instant replays have done wonders for other sports, eg. hockey, football. I just think boxing can also benefit from IRs. Referees and judges are nothing but interpreters. With IRs, there will b no more questions asked. It's right there on video.

yes there should be replays
prolly in between rounds
so no one gets a real advantage
but then again who will decide if a knockdown deserves a replay?
some of those refs are fully committed to knock down rulings
its usually the crowd or commentators that suggest it was questionable
to that ref at that moment it may have been clear as daylight that it was a kd or a slip
if we make that commentators or someone tells the ref that a replay is needed
we would also start getting constant "replay, it was slip" even when its a clean kd
we just have to deal with bad calls
