Good luck to them both. Let's see who is the better fighter (not hugger).
i agree, hopefully it doesn't look like one of hatton's wannabe wwe fights

If Hatton doesn't knock him out he's going to loose big time IMO. Paulie is by far the mental stronger fighter. Hatton against Lazcano showed me enough to see that Hatton is not the same anymore. And it can happen. It happened to Roy Jones. It doesn't mean that Hatton lost his skills but I think, he really thought he could beat Mayweather and he never thought that he could get ko'd. If he can motivate himself for this fight, it could be an interesting fight. But Paulie has more then enough experience against bully-kind of fighters. And after the first few rounds he will have figured him out. And Hatton, like against Mayweather, is not the fighter who can adapt to a new situation.

I think it's going to be a clear UD for Paulie. He will not knock him out but he will have enough punching power to get respect, the magical word is speed. Speed confirms power

        Malinaggi should wake up

I like Malinaggi. Yes, he's brash and boastful, but it's all in good humour and he keeps it CLEAN, unlike many other blustering fighters who seem to have an unending stream if crude vituperation.

But, I noticed in a couple of his last fights he seemed -to me anyway- to have slowed down quite a bit. When he looked good, he was very hard to hit, and almost nver, cleanly, but lately seems to have been taking too many punches for my liking, allowing the opponent to "get off first", considering that his forte is speed and elusiveness.

Malinaggi at his best, should thoroughly outfox and outpoint Hatton.

"or the golf ball that seemed to be lodged in his cheek from the swelling."

golfball? are you kidding? paulie seemed to be lodged with a big pineapple in his cheek if you ask me.

They are hyping paulie...its understandable because of his lack of punching power which really sells to the mainstream fans, KO + BLOOD = PPV sell out.

Thus they are trying this formula, HAIR + MOUTH + articles in boxingscene.com = PPV sell out? which remains to be seen.

But Hatton at his best would totally anhilate Paulie,
Both fighters have looked poor recently but Hatton has been fighting a far better lever than Paulie has.
Paulie has never ever beaten a top fighter, hes only famous for not getting knocked out against Cotto. He has done absolutely nothing in his carrer for anyone to suggest he could beat Hatton.

Cotto couldn't KO Paulie at 140 so I doubt hatton can do it, and I don't see him winnin on points either. This should be a good fight but I think Paulie will get a UD.

That does'nt mean anything, Floyd could not ko castillo but Hatton did. Tsyzu could not ko hatton and Floyd did, yet tsyzu punches far harder than Floyd

Floyd Mayweather or Tzyu do not have the power Miguel Cotto has even at 140.

Whats this myth about how hard Cotto is. who has he actually ko'ed? Who has he actually beat that is great. He beat a stead head cheating mosley that was a very close fight. He beat Paulie but could not ko him and Paulie is not hard to hit. He beat the most over rated boxer in history in judah and did not do it as convincingly as Tsyzu did
Hatton has a higher ko rate than cotto at 140 so I would still say cotto is untested at the top

                      Clarification:

                      FIRSTLY, mallignaggi is ****.
SECONDLY: cotto is fierce but if tagged by a decent shot, hes out.
moving on but back a bit, tzyu done judah in the 2nd rnd with one shot.
ricky done tzyu by bullying him.also the only other person to stop kostya was vince philips and guess what? ricky beat him too! ****in ages ago and even then philips was found to have used performance enhancing drugs in the fight/training...remember? next up..
                      gayweather beat judah "on points".
cotto battered judah to a stoppage.
gayweather knocked out ricky in ten but, remember two things!
ricky fought above his weight and he was actually doing very well till the point deduction before losing his head.
if you look at these FACTS it shows that ricky is statistically the best.
although i dont really think so, on paper thats how it is.
so, we have to ask where a non hitter with only 5 kos on his record stands against the best 140 ib er on the planet? abso****inlutely no chance in hell.
colin lynes should fight that ***** mallgnaggi.
