there are only 2 mega fights on there. all those fights appeal very heavily to the true boxing fans but that doesn't make them mega fights. a mega fight has to also touch base with the casual boxing fan, and they wouldn't know about haye or cotto so 3 and 4 would be big fights, but not mega fights.

            Everyone will hype it up.

Floyds own dad is training Oscar I dont think people fully let that sink in yet.

            The 24/7 will be hawt.

This fight will be a money maker and be plastered everywhere.
this can turn out to be a huge sub-plot. i mean, i'd love to see may sr. giving oscar instruction on how to beat his son, half-heartedly.

half heartedly? he really doesn't like his son. mayweather's mom was an evil b*tch and she kicked may sr out of the house even though she should've been the one getting the hell outta the house and may jr chose his mom over his father naturally.

may sr genuinley hates his son. he has honor, thats why he says "do I want to see him get knocked out, no. do I wanna see his ass get whipped, hell yeah". but really, he wants to see him get ktfo.

i guess i'm a dumb fan. i'm gonna buy it and i actually think oscar has a chance.

floyd is the favorite and he should win but i wouldn't say oscar has no chance. he has just a good a chance of beating floyd as cotto does imo.

long term no. floyd will be gone in a year or two if he wants to keep his "0" and oscar is gone by this year.

short term it'll get boxing on the front page which is not a bad thing. anything that gets espn coverage for boxing is not a bad thing. us hardcore boxing fans need to realize that our sport is dying with the mainstream fans. what's one of the hottest boxing topic of this year so far? manny and juan's controversial decision? how much coverage did that get on espn? the sports talk shows? a 30 second segment saying manny won the wbc "LIGHTWEIGHT" title? when was it? after soccer highlights before the chipmunk who water skis?

one of the most popular boxers in this forum , one of the most anticipated fights for the past few years and one of the best fights of this year so far and the announcers couldn't even get the weight class right!

actually we kinda are. good or bad.

we're the modern roman empire. all roads lead to us. again , good or bad. just hope we last a little longer.

think about it , in a sports context. golf was invented in scotland. where are most of the majors played? the most money to be made in boxing is in vegas or at least new york. don't think so? why do every major fight even held outside of the u.s. held at 2 a.m. or 11 a.m or some weird time for the benefit of u.s. television? baseball i think was based on cricket which is the more popular sport now? the best german basketball player? chinese basketball player? spanish basketball player? where do they play?

it's not being the center of the universe. it's all about money and that's in the u.s.

countries like china have huge markets and huge populations but those fanbase do not have the capital (MONEY) to spend. countries in western europe do have the per capita money but they don't have huge markets and population. america has both. one state in the u.s. like new york or california has larger economies than maybe all but 15-20 countries in the world. fact.

                      money talks.
