LMAO, the only credible american is pavlik...real intelligent comment. First of all, we have the universally regarded p4p #1 in Floyd and arguably 7 others in the top 20 p4p in Hopkins, Pavlik, Winky, Mosley, Campbell, DLH and Taylor. To me it isnt bad at all to have 8 out of the best 20 be from the US...

        simple answer..

        its called globalisation.

Boxing is now more so than ever an international sport and the Junior Welterweight division and heavyweights are the perfect example of the globalization of Boxing

its funny how the supposed decline in american boxing goes hand in hand with this...where they actually that good to begin with? or is it fair to say that the plateau has finally evened out simply due to fresh blood and NOT a decline in the capabilities of US fighters at all!

p.s it is because of globalisation americans have fighters like pavlik whos parent's barely speak english,so it is without doubt a good thing for boxing as a whole

A cowardly gaylord hid behind a WBO crap strap for 10 years and slaps like a girl swatting flies..

An American slammed Europes best fighter off the ring post and into oblivion.

Can you imagine popkins traveling all the way to Great Britain and challenging Calzaghe in his turf?! I sure as hell can't!

This is why American fighters are being badly beaten by foreign fighters, it's because they're unwilling/scared of actually stepping out of their backyard, that's cowardly which is why boxing is dead in America but alive and well in EUROPE!!!

The talent is great in the UK huh?
It is an unjust statement to say the UK has no talent! We have various good fighters established and upcoming. So Calzaghe, Haye, Khan, Hatton, Froch have no talent?? You have some great fighters, Mayweather, Pavlik and... oh Hopkins. But he got beat by some one with no talent right?
