I agree, and I'm eagerly awaiting his return to the ring.

I still think Jermaine can get back that fire he had before the Hopkins fights. He had it for the Pavlik rematch but not all the way. If Jermaine can take care of business ie beat up on Kessler and other characters i would like to see him fight Joe Cal and Pavlik for a 3rd time.
he's still got good athleticism, but he's not p4p.

I could care less about P4P, it is a subjective list based on whatever criteria anyone wants to use. But yes, Taylor is still a good boxer and two loses to Pavlik does not diminish that.

I think some fans put too much emphasis on an undefeated record anyway.

That's what i would love to see...
There are not too many people that could beat the JT we saw in the Pavlik rematch

Beating Hopkins twice...and then drawing with Winky.....makes you a p4p fighter which is what Taylor was.

One has to respect him for taking such a brutal series of fights and even offering rematches in some cases (Wright).

One thing I respect Taylor for the most is that he does not back down. And his record isnt padded either. He only fights the best out.

After getting knocked out for the first time how many people would want a rematch the VERY next fight after?

After his scraping past Hopkins and Spinks, his bad job vs Ouma and his Losses to Pavlik, he's kinda lost me as a fan. I used to be a HUGE fan but he will not be remembered as a great middleweight now.
