KEllerman is smart, He knows boxxing amazingly well, Most the stats that the other people quote are fed to them by people on a computer, Max is one of the few who actualy calls apon his boxing knowlage to comentate

But seriously though, that video also claimed that the cut suffered in the Sakio Bika fight was the worst of Joe's career. Technically they were right, but only because it was the ONLY cut of Joe's career (before Hopkins).

It's like they either don't pay attention or just flat out don't care.

You don't just GUESS on live TV, in a fight that was talked about for years.

Now to the normal public, this could put a different view on Calzaghe, Like he is used to being down at the start of a fight.

When in fact he had never been down in the first round of any fight in his career, it was a first.

Umm he made a mistake. He wasn't insulting Calzaghe in fact he mentioned that Joe always comes back to WIN. I mean is everyone from Wales this sensitive about boxing?

Max is far from flawless and he's said some things that really annoyed me over the years. But overall I think he makes good contributions to the telecast. His real strength was working in a studio like he did at ESPN though.

I completely agree, Max is good in a studio environment because he likes to provoke and argue. He isn't good as a blow by bow or color commentator or whatever Larry's postion is. And frankly, I know that Teddy knows it all and he makes all the sense in the world even though he picks fights worse than Addison, but I think at HBO he'll just suffocate all the other commentators and the viewers as well.

I can't stand watching Kellerman. Sure he's knowledgable but why does he have to try and display his vast knowledge in every single round? His encyclopaedic boxing brain gets in the way of his commentary.
