    I cannot believe it!!!

I just watched the Hatton/Lazcano fight and well, you would think after getting nearly knocked out by a left hook because he drops his right arm every single time he goes for one of his leaping lead left hooks, that he or his coach would have really, really worked on it!

I was very shocked to see him doing exactly the same thing against Lazcano, who's strongest punch is the left hook. Now, what does it take for a fighter to understand that even though he may be a champ he still needs to work on aspects of his game, especially after coming off a loss which showed up massive glaring mistakes in his game!?

He nearly got knocked out again by exactly the same punch!!! I think it was in the tenth, or maybe eighth, round where he does his lead left hook thing and dropped his right arm way down to his waist and was cracked with a check hook that nearly had the same effect as Mayweather's! It just caught him higher on the head instead of the chin, but, holy crap!

Can anyone tell me what it would take for someone to have to point out such a huge damn error in training? Really gets my goat! Did anyone else even notice this?

because his trainer isnt really that good, if he was, they would concentrate on developing a jab and some defense as opposed to rushing in and throwing telegraphed punches.

That leaping left hook of his is a terrible punch, he's so open for counters when he throws it.

Hard to develop a jab when you have a 20" arm length, unless you're a bantamweight. If I were Hatton, I would hang em up, it's clear that what skills he had have seriously eroded with his lifestyle in between fights and the damage he takes in the ring. He had to have made enough in the FMJ fight to retire for good.

hatton is a shot fighter since getting EXPOSED by floyd and will lose everytime he gets in the ring with an elite fighter from here forward.

for all of you new to boxing that means he will beat malignaggi in november. i hope forbes gets his chance, I would pick him to school hatton easy UD.

When you get away with using a style that wins you over 40 straight fights, you'll never be able to change it. It won't matter who trains him. At this point, Hatton simply is what he is. He clearly needs to be matched carefully for the few fights he has left in him.

I doubt he can change it too.

Yep, that's the problem. Instinct would come into play a lot during fights no matter how much he trained to stop doing it at such a late stage. I tell you what though, that same punch is going to get him into trouble with anyone that is good enough to notice it and use it. He leaves himself screamingly open "Come hit me right here on the chin you dirty fiendish mofo's!"

I'm still very surprised that it took Mayweather to exploit it because in every fight I've seen of his, he does that. Any amateur hack fighter would pick that up watching even one of his fights! He's so open when he throws it it's scary. It actually scares me!

                  God damned crazy freak.

well it not the reach that matter it how you use the jab and the timing of the jab.
