I think you need to read a book or 2. PR was a thriving economy prior to its commonwealth status. The PR knew very well how to take care of himself. THe issues arise when the way of life you know is drastically changed, industrialized etc Nothing like Haiti or DR in that sense. Ask the good people of Long Island what as been the crisis with regard to the Mexican influx... Crime, little girls being ****d, gangs etc. Stop. Mexicans make PRs look like good christians. Gone are the innocent days when the PRs were "the bad guys" Ok an occasional fist fight, a stolen TV etc You Mexicans took it to a whole other level of scumbag...
And for the record, I grew up Middle class, born and raised in America...Well spoken clean living. My parents always worked and just recently retired and moved to FLA. All is well my little friend.Comment

My man, I was referring to the cane fields etc. PR was truly self sufficient. When those fields were removed for the erection of manufacturing plants etc.. the life changed there. In the end, ask anyone true PR from the actual island are the most hospitable and and decent people you will meet. Granted the ****** NYC variety can be a public relations nightmare, but I assure you.. that's not me.
PRs took the brunt here in NYC especially for the rest of the "latins" that followed in the coming decades... the ramifications of what they endured can still be seen to this very day. Keep that in mind when you are being a superior mexican. It was different when the PRs came in the 40s 50s 60s..
But the problem now is how do we keep our borders secure?? I am all for that tall wall.Last edited by AztecWorrier; 05-29-2008, 04:54 PM.Comment

I know, we haven't quite gotten to the Donkey Show and freshly peeled oranges served on the 495 yet. Mexico rocks!

I am not a fan of them either.
