    P4P leaders who actually weren't?

I try and explain to weeners on here that "P4P" is just a fun hypothetical extrapolation by boxing journalists, but some ******s (usually people who say things like "Ray Robinson was a bum because he lost some fights"... you know who you are) seem to think it's something set in stone, or something earned in the ring.

For example, while I DO have Floyd P4P No.1 on my list, there are some people out there that will - as hard as it is to believe - say that he would DEFINITELY beat Cotto because P4P says he would. WTF???

That's Floyd out of the way. I don't wanna talk about Floyd. I wanna talk about people who were claimed to be P4P No.1 and then... weren't.

Here's just some off the top of my head:

Sugar Shane Mosley. He's the best, he's No.1, he's unbeatable... oh ****, here comes Vernon Forrest. They got it WRONG, see?

Bernard Hopkins c.2005 on. This is my biggest contention with the system. If fighters move UP, then they should also move DOWN. Let's not forget that Bore Hard only got the top slot because of what happened to Roy. But it should have been obvious to any observer with a pair of ****ing eyes that the guy had seriously declined around the time of the Eastman fight. Yeah, he beat Eastman, but the guy in the ring that night would not have been able to beat any fighter on the planet if size was not a factor. Naturally when I said this I was a "hater". Naturally in his next fight I was proved right. Again. Christ, I get so tired of being right.

    Donald Curry. Self explanatory.

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone that thought SSM was ever the best fighter in the world.

If I remember correctly he was second on the list to Roy Jones when he lost to Forrest.

because he was fighting a whole lot of nothing at 135, but you know, it would have been crazy if that floyd/mosley fight went through at 135, but i understand why mosley said no to that, he had absolutely everything to lose fighting floyd at that point.

I tell you what, BJ, I like you. We may have had our silly spats - largely my fault I admit - but you're one of the few left in here with a brain cell.

If we met in real life I'd suck you off now, just for being you. :*******:

The Ring Magazine ranked him number 1.

Another questionable call by the Ring Magazine was when they ranked Oscar De La Hoya number 1 in 1998.

                    I stand corrected.
