Julio Cesar Chavez planning out his sons career?

Julio Cesar Chavez himself, Fought low rate competition in the early and mid stages of his career and only really stepped it up later on, But those tons of low rate fights gave him the experience he needed to be the great fighter he is, Is he doing this with his son purposely? Or just protecting him?

I have a funny feeling JCC Jr. is gonna make a big impact on boxing all of a sudden.

By the way, I don't know what position JCC has in his sons camp, I'm just presuming he trains/manages him ... Either way im sure he has a big influence.

How would you feel about ODLH/JCC Jr for Oscar's last fight? Do you think it will happen?

Good question, Not sure if JCC would LET it happen if he has the influence im presuming.

If it did happen, The result would depend on how many more fights Oscar has before the end of his career, If he shows Major signs of decline ... Who knows .. . Maybe Chavez Jr. could pull an upset .. But the most obvious outcome for me would be a win for Oscar .. Possibly UD?

Anyway, Its a fight i would watch.

I think so, I also think you'll be seeing him in the ring with ALphonso Gomez.
That's why he was at the Cotto fight, when I saw him..

I don't really see JCC Jr. making much of an impact at all, he doesn't impress me much and I think he'll lose once he steps up in class.

                I miss those days.

You're incorrect Azza. I know people like to say Chvaez didn't fight good comp in his early days but he fought some tough contenders before he every fought Azebetche foght the title. A fighter you never heard about. But if you look at boxrec he was one tough sob and gave many fighter hell, even earning a rematch with Azumah Nelson. Don't let the hate of other posters about Chavez cloud your judgement or if you are unsure of Chavez career get his career set or some of his fights and you'll hear the commnetater talk about Chavez past opponet and how good they were.

Chavez plays no role in Jrs career so he says. But realisticly im sure he calls some shots behind the scenes. I just wish Chavez or whoever showed Chavez, head movement to show his son head movement.

I still think Omar will be the better fighter. But time will tell.

And no way does Jr. even come close to doing what Chavez did but i belive he will be Champion and be better then most think he will be.

                  agree.
its unrealistic to think anything of the kid with the level of opponents he's faced. ray sanchez is the highest ranked(137) opponent he's fought.

Hes doing good with Jr. But some times if you don't step up the competition of a boxer(as in sparring) you get stuck in first gear. The wake up call would suck if hes not getting tougher fights before he fights for a title.
