Ricky Hatton To Promote First Show on September 4

It appears Ricky Hatton is already making moves to follow in the footsteps of his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya. Hatton promotes his first show, under the banner of Ricky Hatton Promotions, on September 4 at Birmingham’s Motorcycle Museum. Ken Purchase of Ringside Promotions will co-promote the event with Hatton. Hatton is planning another show for Bristol and is trying to obtain permission from the British Board of Control to stage title fight. [details]

with the KO he got from ugly boy floyd mayweather jr, and his recent luckluster performance against lazcano, ricky would better resign and promote boxing shows.

I agree. Maybe one last fight with Malignaggi but he does need to retire soon.

Considering that he came off of a KO loss, I dont think he fought too bad against Lazcano. He got buzzed, but its not like Juan can't crack. Look at his record and see all those KO's. I would understand you guy's criticizm's if he took a soft challenger, which lazcano is not.
