Yeah, but Vernon is not all that of a fighter. Thats what I meant by that. I know Mora isnt the strongest puncher, but he punches in volume. Mayorga is by no means a GREAT fighter, he is a decnt fighter with NO boxing skills and decent pop in his punches. And he owned Vernon for 15 rounds. Vernon is WAY WAY WAY over rated.

Back then Mayorga was in his prime and had a lot of power and also threw his punches with more accuracy but whatever....

Wow reading these threads its obvious most havent seen much of Vernon or just dont understand boxing. Vernon Forrest is elite, if you saw his last fight you would know that. Yeah he didnt fight a great fighter but its obvious he isnt having shoulder problems like he used to. He is a few classes abve Mora, his feints will confuse Mora all night. Too many advantages for Forrest, foot speed, hand speed, power, experience, you name it. If you read the interview on the front page he said he was beating Mora in sparring with one hand when he came back from his surgery, but I didnt need to know that to know this is going to be very one sided and I will give all my points away if Mora wins even one round.

naw not really, I just like the guy. There arent really any articulate mexicans and he happens to be one. and the way that he came up, as a sparring partner for a lot of really good fighters. Usually when there is a minority that is well off, black or latin, they always have to **** it up. Like T.I. htere was no reason for him to get those guns, but what happens, you get money and do somethin dumb. Or like Mike Vick. Or other **********. It just makes people say to them selves " this is what happens when a minority gets money". We are quick to talk about people stereotyping us, but then we go and fall right into the stereotype. Thats why I like Mora, he is educated, smart, and not your typical east LA thug like mexican.

I like mex boxers but i like all kinds of fighters.
