Golota might pull this one off, I'm still not convinced about Povetkin. If Golota doesn't knock him out in the first 6 rounds though, Povetkin might win a decision. If Povetkin manages to knock Golota out, I'll be amazed.
Golota showed a lot of heart in his last fight, but at 40, I'm not too sure how him hanging around is helping the division. Decent test for the still relatively green Povetkin, who should outwork Golota to a fairly wide decision.
Taking on Golota could possibly be dangerous for Povetkin who likes to outwork his opponents, Golota is still well-conditioned for an old man and in his prime could throw over 100 punches a round.
Povetkin is at a size disadvantage as well but his youth and willpower should win him this fight. I don't think Golota has a lot left at age 40 although he looked decent against Mollo but aside from punching power, Mollo does not have much and certainly lacks the stamina Povetkin has.
Golota's punches lack the speed and snap he used to have and he is still the worst finisher in the division.
It's a decent tune-up fight if Povetkin plans to take on Wladimir later this year...
I hope Golota goes out with dignity and doesn't crumble under the pressure once again.
Golota showed something he hasn't shown in the past in his last fight, which is heart. But his punches looked slow and telegraphed so I think Povetkin should be able to win by decision or late knockout.
