Diaz Eyes Chavez, Katsidis or Casamayor For 9/13

According to Willie Savannah, manager of former lightweight champion Juan Diaz, the three frontrunners to face Diaz on the tentative date of September 13 in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center, are Jesus Chavez, Michael Katsidis and WBO-interim champion Joel Casamayor. He said there is no set deal in place to face any of the three. [details]

Katsidis needs to bounce back from that loss, make him fight a bum so he can look impressive and then Diaz vs Katsidis would be better..

Katsidis just got brutally KO'd. Why does he deserve a big fight?

Last time I checked, Juan Diaz just lost as well. At least Katsidis was arguably winning when he got caught late. This is a fight everyone wanted before their respective losses and still do. Personally I'd rather see Juan go after a title.

I think Katsidis is overrated, always have, but he did put on an exciting performance in coming back from two first round knockdowns to take control of the fight and look like he was going to win. Yes he got stopped, but he's still someone people want to see fight again. I agree with what you're saying in that he shouldn't be getting another title shot right away and should have to earn that again. But Juan no longer has any titles.

Juan Diaz should go for Casamayor. People been saying if he loses hes done and blah blah blah bad opponent to come back against. Well people havent thought about juan whipping Casamayor's ass and what it would do for his stock. Imo he stops Katsidis and Chavez
