Why didnt Winky get the big fights he always wanted?

Just wondering what you guys think. I like Winky, but it's a bit of both. I think his defense first approach was not appealing to the casual fan and therefore would mean that HBO/Showtime would lose money and ratings. And he was high risk fight because he had good skills. But what do you think was the main reason?

High Risk, Low Reward...Winky defensive style makes it hard for an opponent to look Good against him & add the fact that he couldn't/can't put A$$e$ in seats...you're left on the outside looking in!

He prices himself out of fights. Simple as that.

Also he is scared to take on up and comers.

      Who is Winky?

Winky fought alot of big fights against big fighters.
Problem is, he lost the majority of them.

It's a mix of option 1 and 2 IMO. He doesn't have the most exciting style to the public, but he's also one of the hardest guys for ANYONE to beat. No one has, or will ever have an easy time with Winky.

Earlier in his career he was too high risk, low reward but as his career progressed he started pricing himself out of fights.
