I started boxing classes recently. My instructors nose showed physical evidence that this man had competed many times: It was enlarged, twisted and bent to the side. This has put me off boxing altogether.
Not that i believe looks are important, but I have to breathe and smell out of this thing too.
Don't get me started on brain damage either.
What would make one want to compete in boxing?
This question may seem silly but I am being serious. I think boxing is a great sport for fitness and confidence, but I would not want to be a regular sparring competitor.
