Ricky Hatton - Hall of famer?

What do you think? Will Hatton be inducted into the HOF? Is he worthy? Why or why not?

It is still up in the air. He hasn't beaten too many (if any) top level fighters at their peak, but you can't ignore his outstanding record. I think we'll need to wait until his career is over before passing judgement.

He'll be remembered for the type of crowds he could pull, but for boxing skills, I doubt it.

          HOF? For what?

What will his resume say he hasnt really beat any major contenders. His most impressive feat is a Ko against castillo and lasted 10 rounds with mayweather?

Unless something drastically changes with his opponents in the next few years I dont see that happening.

That would be a sure thing. He has meant a lot to British boxing.

In principle, I agree with this post.

Hatton's career-defining fight so far has been the Tszyu victory. The Tszyu who quit on his stool was not the Tszyu who had been pound for pound for years before that.

Since that fight he has been subpar to what many expected of him. I think he needs a few more big wins, maybe a complete unification at 140, to even be considered.

Then again, the IBHOF inducts a lot of fighters based on popularity to get people to come to induction week.

I wish American fans had half the enthusiasm of British fans

That being said, I should of added to my previous post that there will be no question he will be in British Hall of Fame

I personally don't think he's HOF worthy. I do agree he'll definitely be in british HOF.

To me, all Hatton has going for him is his legion of fans. He's a subpar fighter at best.

Btw, Erbad's GIF of Byrd is very disturbing. I honestly feel sick to my stomach when i see that, he looks so helpless and defenseless. Poor guy, good thing he's hangin them up.
