Would boxing be better if fans were more forgiving

Just curious because i saw someone else bring this up on a non boxing website. That for instance to ugly step-sister of our sport UFC. There elite champions loose very ofton yet they still keep a huge following and fighters have a very loyal fan base. While guys like tyson, Oscar, a few others keep the core of there fanbase even after decisive losses other like roy jones jr, shane mosley etc loose a fight and get labelled as finished. Now there might be some people who will follow them no matter what but in general its a very unforgiving sport were a fighter loose this falls to the bottom of the barrell

With that said if people realise that even the greats got beat (sometimes badly) and that boxers can easily bounce back , IMO there would be bigger fights, fighters taking more risk and we would see all types of matchups. I dont think boxers are so much scared of others just sometimes to risk arent worth it and they would have alot to loose. Just My opinion and i wanted to hear the thoughts of others.

MMA has a lot of luck to do with it win. That why their champions have a lot of loses. Boxing is all about skills that’s why we are unforgiving. You don’t lose because you were unlucky but because you were outclassed.

There is a huge difference between losing the core of your fanbase and people claiming you are done. I would venture to say that RJJ and Shane Mosley have lost little to no fans due to losses.

Also, the majority of MMA fans are young and not especially bright.
