If you look at great fighters from the past, many, if not most, went undefeated until mid-point or later in their careers, but realistically I don't think it's that big a point, unless they have a losing streak against gatekeeper class fighters. At that point, their careers are usually over and their status as a prospect or contender is gone.
From my perspective, I don't pay much attention to the number of losses, so long as they're entertaining and competetive. Diego Corrales is a good example.
