    The boxing landscape in the late 90's

    Can someone tell me about the state of boxing from about late 1996 through 1999.

    That sounds like an essay question. Basically, more than now, boxing was dominated by the HBO stars (DLH, Jones, Lewis) and Don King. Some good fights weren't made because of that, and two of them (Lewis-Holyfield, Trinidad-DLH) were disappointing fights with highly controversial decisions.

      Pretty much, it used to be Showtime vs HBO and we missed out on alot of fights because of that. Boxing is much better now IMO, exclusive contracts to networks really ****ed things up.
