Bob Foster and Archie Moore were great light heavyweights, moved up a few times to heavyweight though, with minimal success.

I was gonna' put Moore, but I don't remember if he won a title at Middleweight where he started his career. Old Mongoose belongs in top 5 p4p of all time btw.

He won his first title in his late 30's because people kept ducking him, he did fight at 160 early in his career though.

Except that Moore was 0-3 (1) against Ezzard Charles, who I'm sure you don't rank at all.

Pep never fought in a title fight in any division except featherweight. In those days it was common to take non title matches a few lbs over the weight limit. The junior lightweight title wasn't worth **** back then.

Looking for something to argue about? Charles was a very solid fighter, but no way was he top 10 p4p all time, that's just silly.

Some have made the case that Ezzard belong in the top 10 heavyweights of all time.. while I don't follow that notion I don't think it's absurd to suggest it.

Charles had some very good wins at MW and LHW. The fact that he's even considered as a top 10 HW (where he spent the end of his career,) should tell you something.

Because at heavyweight he faced the best opposition of his career for the most part in facing Walcott, Louis, Maxim, and his competitive first bout with Marciano.

dirty you would you take in a fight between haglar and monzon. I think thats 1-2 middleweights of alltime with both making a great arguement.
