Those guys are garbage, but they cater to a certain crowd which includes people involved in the drug industry, drug users, and people dumb enough to think that it's cool. I listen to a lot of Mexican music myself but feel like some of the those narco corridos are the most idiotic **** in the world, but it has to do with the fact that I don't relate, or want to relate.

The same can be said of some types of rap and other music genres, the subject matter just appeals to some and is downright idiotic to others. I listen to nortenas, bandas, rancheras, corridos etc, but those narco corridos just aren't for me. I rather listen to a Corrido like Luis Pulido, Domingo Corrales, or the type you might here from los cadetes de linares, not that garbage. A song called Lokera en el bano or something like that just came out, and it's like these dumb ass songs, and I can't stand that **** or the lifestyle it tries to glorify, but that's just my opinion.

No mames, de fresa no tengo nada. Pero tampoco tengo respeto a la gente que intenta glorificar la violencia y el consumo de droga. Entiendo porque le gusta a alguna gente, pero yo no soy de ese tipo de persona y ni quisiera ser. Ese tipo de persona existe por todo el mundo y en toda cultura, el caso es que a mi no me agrada ni me parece bien lo que estan haciendo.

Ademas, los musico pendejos que se involucran en esas pendejadas luego andan chillando porque son victimas de los narcos. La musica de Valentin Elizalde a mi me gustaba, pero se metio en temas nunca debio tocar. Sin los narco corridos ya habia ganado mucha fama en Mexico y en EEUU, y por seguir cantando con gente de ese ambiente le costo la vida. Y no se si has escuchado pero el Beto Quintanilla que se cree muy chingon el perro ya cancelo un chingo do fechas en mexico porque tiene miedo que los Sinaloenses lo truenen porque hace poco mataron a un pariente del Chapo de Sinaloa los de Tamaulipas.

Si fueran como Chalino, les tendria mas respeto, ese hombre solo hablaba de su vida y no andaba con mentiras como estos otros, y en sus canciones no hablaba tanto del consumo y la violencia como el honor y la valentia. El modo de espresarse y el tema son muy diferentes.

**** all that other **** that talks about violence and drugs, thats not the real Mexico. Taking pride in that is showing lack of pride. Singers like Vicente Fernandez, Jorge Negrete and Perdro Infante are the real heart and soul of Mexican music.

Its called desmadre en el bano by los amos de nuevo leon. It just talks about partying, drinking, smoking, dancing with girls inside a bathroom of a club what's wrong with that???? I guess you have to be from a certain area to appreciate their type of music. this specific song is actually one of my favorites and i play it everytime we're getting ready to go out!

Yup, throw in Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Joan Sebastian, and Antonio Aguilar and you have what mexican music is all about.

Rogelio, I see how you may like the song, but a song about doing coke in the bathroom at some club just doesn't do it for me.

And hyperion, I wonder what you listen to since you live in Mexico and think Mexican Music sucks.

actually, Mexican music has progressed a lot through out this decade. even though the manufactured pop aspect is still present, it almost feels like mexico has more bonafide singer/song writers in the mainstream than prolly the United States.
