Where in the world is DMITRIY SALITA?

I'm a big Salita fan. One of my five favourite fighters. I respect the guy and appreciate his dedication to his faith.

But what is going on with his career?

He is coming up on his 30th fight. Still undefeated, but is he ready to step it up? He is about the same age as Malignaggi. Still fighting in NYC.

Can he fight Malignaggi late on a Saturday night at the garden? Can he be a force at JWW?

      Really? why?

HBO is looking for new fighters, and Salita has a GREAT story.

Imagine the on-air ******* Max would give him.

Is he willing to fight on Saturday's? Because if he isn't then that put's him at a disadvantage since most of the big fights are on Saturday.

Well he could probably fight on Showtime or HBO if the fight was on the east coast and if he was the main event or maybe the last undercard. Still that's a quite a few concessions that have to be made for him.

He can fight at the Garden after dark. And during the winter, he can fight as early as 7pm. That isn't bad.

You're right: he will likely never be a West Coast/Vegas fighter. Still NYC and Atlantic City will work fine.

Salita turned down an HBO fight with Santana last Summer, but after Santana got blown out by Harrison Cuello on Broadway Boxing they weren't too interested this year.

Salita approached HBO with opponents like Grover Wiley etc., you can't fight guys like that on HBO.

It's like Jake Donovan said, Salita's career has been one big tuneup fight. He's going to have to take a chance and face a top 15. Guys like Victor Ortiz, Steve Forbes and Devon Alexander have been fighting their butts off against tough opposition and are more deserving of title shots.

He's been angling for a WBA title shot for some time. I think he's ranked like number 3 in that organization. I'd like to see him fight an eliminator against Marcos Rene Maidana so atleast he wouldn't have walked into a title shot.
