I think that is a good idea for David as long as he can stick to it. I think the majority of Manny's opponents have planned on staying on the defensive most of the time and hoping to make it the full 12 rds rather than try to put any real offensive on Manny. Everyone's scared of his power that they only come up with survival plans it seems. Be as it may, Marquez going back to his counter punching style as an effective method was his way of not letting Manny land bombs on him so he could survive the full 12 and if he got Manny hurt somewhere along the way, he'd then capitalize on it. But someone that will truely take it to Manny like Erik did in his first fight with Manny, that's someone that can give Manny problems. Manny is so used to dominating and keeping his opponent scared of his power, they forget to fight back and simply try to avoid his left the full 12.

So when did Marquez go to his old boxing, counter punch style against Pacquiao in there 2nd fight? Marquez stayed on the offense way more then when all he used to be was a laid back counter puncher.

Avoiding pacquiaos punchs doesn't mean he went back to his old style just mean he avoided a shot.

Not suprising because if you've watched Diaz fight he's pretty much a pressure fighter. I think it will be a closer fight than some think and with the upset's that have been happening who knows maybe Diaz can pull it off, but I think Pac still win's this one. Because of his handspeed and quickness.
