Is the up and down weight gain/loss taking a toll on Ricky?

He seems to have really lost a step since the Kostya fight. Is it due to his lifestyle catching up to him? I mean he is only 30 yrs old, and i can not see any other reason for him starting to decline. He is still a great fighter for sure, don't get me wrong, but he is not the same terror that dismantled Kostya. Perhaps it is his style, and getting hit to often? Any thoughts on this?

I think his habits outside of the ring is starting to affect him inside it.

      Definatley.

Ricky in my eyes is not the same fighter he used to be.

His footwork and head movement are not the same

He doesn't move that head at all anymore.

Thankfully Malignaggi has even worse head movement.

I don't think Ricky will be able to beat a great fighter now. He has had alot of fights.

Isnt he 29? Well Hatton has never been that good anyway and to be honest even when he was fighting bums back at the MEN arena the only thing he had going for him was his high work rate and he didnt do himself any favours by bingeing in between fights.

            Let's be fair.

Hatton is a world class fighter. He's not a great fighter but he is world class.

Not dis*****g that at all he is just technically poor, He has never impress me since he step up his competition. He was a better boxer when he was a prospect but Frank warren didnt allow him to improve early on...He stay in one mode for too long before the Tsyzu fight, he was just fighting the same calibre of fighters which didnt allow him to improve.

That and his style of Boxing don't really help him that much. He should definantly spend his last fights lunging in less. That **** only works on old bodies and guys who don't know how to throw a smart punch.
