I'd like to see him win from being badly hurt, but he's been too good and too cautious to need to do that thus far.
The thng that I notice about FMJ is that in the instances where he has been hurt or roughed up, he came RIGHT back. He covered and kept his cool and started firing back.

When he "runs", it is a tactical or game-planned "running". Not running from punishment.

He's never been seriously hurt or had to dig deep to pull out a win, so there's no way of telling.

In my book, you are tough when you deal with adversity and pain without resorting to anything out of character and without backing away from your gameplan.

Floyd has shown time and again that he won't bother himself with controversy and rough times in the ring, he just keeps going no matter what.
Getting caught, bullied, rabbit punched, low blowed etc.. it doesn't matter, he'll continue doing exactly what he should be doing; winning. And winning on his terms.

          That is toughness.
you just made 2 very good posts, i totally agree.

In first Castillo fight Floyd started to trade in the last 4 rounds, going to the head while Castillo was going to the body. Those bodypunvhes looked hard, but Floyd contined to make effort with his own punches. Gosh, that was tough.

being skillful and tough are 2 different things

and taking a punishment doesnt not qualify you for being tough
He sure does fight off the ropes a lot for a guy that's not tough..often against bigger..stronger guys..

He's plenty tough..and he's shown it many times..
