    Was Rocky Marciano overated?

Earlier in my other "Marciano vs Holyfield" thread, people complained that rocky was overated and wouldnt last against holyfield.

So i decided to come up with this, so people can post their opinion. what counts is what the fan thinks, so you be the judge

We all know rocky's credentials, we know that he beat up on some old men, but competitive old men.

undefeated, unbeaten 49-0 record, considered by some critics to be the top 10 heavyweight of all time

here's one of his many hi-lite videos

here's a video focusing on Rock's underated defence

He was a great heavyweight, it's a shame he came along when the division wasn't very deep.

i dont think he was necessairly overated

in fact he's one of my favourite fighters. he had will. he had determination. he worked hard in the ring to overcome all his disadvantages, i love fighters like that

but i think there are other fighters who are put behind him on the list and dont get the nod for his place

people make too much out of 49-0. he was great, but not the greatest

He had a perfect record, and no one can argue with that.

It means we dont know how well he would have done against Holyfield and Ali etc. But he faced good smart tough fighters and broke them up.

If anything he is underrated by many based on his style and especially his size.
