Carl Froch Proves Anyone Can Win A World Title

If Carl Froch is handed the WBC title because of its vacant and Inkin has pulled out it proves multiple things:

    a) you can fight guys not in the top 30 of the division. Continue to rack up wins. And fans will look at your boxrec record and say, **** hes the real deal.

It will also prove that fans do take note and are impressed when fighters knock out bums. As numerous Froch fans have said to me. "He use to look bad against Bums, but now he looks good". If you think im joking, go over some Froch threads, there are British fans on here who think wow, he just KTFO that guy, so what if hes rated the 455th best SMW in the world.

    b) it also proves that boxing fans don't know anything. How can a guy who beat one notable fighter, and that fighter well he wasn't really that big of a name. It was a way past it Robin Reid. How can a fighter with only one win, be talked about as competing with Kessler, and Miranda.

Some fans are saying Froch's power will cause Kessler problems. How on Earth can you predict that? How can you even measure Frochs power? He hasn't knocked out anyone of note. The Reid stoppage was from an accumalation of shots and not just one shot.

    c) He probably has the worst technique i have seen by a professional going for or holding a world title. His hands are low. His punches are extremely slow and his power, well its just awesome. I mean he managed to knock out a guy on Friday night, who started to train for the fight on wednesday night. That gives you an indication of Frochs opponents, most of these guys got the fight at the very last minute.

Conclusion : I will be the first guy to jump on the Froch bandwagon if he beats a big name. But how can a guy with not one good win in his career get the chance of fighting for a world title? How can a guy with not one good win, get the right to call out Calzaghe? And most importantly, how can boxing fans actually give the guy a chance against proven world class fighters, and even predict him beating someone like Kessler, from what he has shown us, which is practically nothing!

No hard feelings Froch. But your probably the luckiest guy in world boxing. You are in line for some big money fights, and you haven't taken one risk to get there!

        Can only agree.

Im just curious how 30 or so people voted he knocks out Miranda?

Maybe we do have the dumbest fans.

Does Froch even have a world title? I'm not sure he does, or have the WBC handed it to him now?

Anyway, there have been worse champions than Froch, who by any measure looks to be a dangerous fighter with a decent amount of talent and a whole lot of power.

I'd give him an excellent chance against Miranda, who was made to look awful by Kelly Pavlik who, like Froch is a fighter with decent if limited technique, no great amount of speed but with very heavy hands.

That is only my opinion though, and we'll only know whether Froch is "a joke" or not when we see him in with a world class opponent. Until then, we simply don't know how good he is.

Props for your ability to "LMAO" at my opinions. I find you tiresome to be honest.

                Cheers.

I just find it extraodinary that people can pick Froch over any top 5 fighter at MW or SMW. Because he has shown us nothing.

He is probably the most protected fighter in the sport today.

Well, you're right that Froch hasn't been in with top opposition, but there is plenty in his game that suggests he will give the top guys something to think about, not least his power. I'm not saying he WILL beat Miranda but my eyes and brain tell me that it is not unlikely that Froch MIGHT.

Like I said, we'll have to wait and see. Boxers have to prove themselves sometime and eventually Froch will get his shot and we'll have the answer. Until then we don' know.

I agree that he is one lucky fighter and I also agree that technically he isn't brilliant, but you might be underrating him somewhat.

He has excellent power, good counter-punching ability and a solid chin. That's about it, but don't take that away from him. What I find most bizarre is that you're talking about Miranda as if he's a world class fighter. Froch has a decent chance against Miranda, who in my eyes is just as bad technically but in different ways.

Froch would get schooled by Calzaghe, Kessler or Bute though.
