Who are you more excited about?

I've never seen Linares, and only seen Gamboa once... I wish I would have made a abstain option in the poll.

I guess I'll vote Gamboa so I can see the poll results without having to click the link every time I come into the thread.

I've seen highlights of Linares but I don;t like smth about his demeanor it has nothing to do with how he fights. sometimes I don't like people for no particular reason or at least I can't name it.

Why are you more excited about the guy that you don't think will do as good?

I can see his point. Just because a fighter is going to do better in the long run doesn't mean you like him as much or are as excited to see him fight.

For instance Mayweather. The guy has done phenomenal and I don't think anyone at 147 has a decent chance of beating him, but you don't exactly get the feeling "wow, I'm going to see Mayweather fight!!"

Gamboa will always be exciting if his style does not change. You just never know when it would catch up to him, he could totally be outclassing a guy but if he keeps his hands down and gets caught clean it could all come to an end.

I'm more excited about Linares...he will do great things

Gamboa can wipe out his division in due time, not too many other guys that are as big as Darling Jimenez in super featherweight. Jimenez was only able to last cause he has a big frame as is, he was able to hide behind his forearms and stay alive, he took a beating still, but he was able to keep his head on straight by throwin up his guard. Not too many people at that division can do the same with the exception of Soto, Valero, and Juarez.

If Gamboa is willin to fight Soto, Valero, or Juarez I'd definantly be more excited for him. All those fights would be interesting.



As for Linares, if he moves up to super-feather, then **** yeah. Him and Gamboa would both be somthin to look out for. But Linares at featherweight, I think the only big fights to be made are with Orlando Salido (despite his early losses, he's definantly peaking right about now) and Robert Guererro.
