i have to admit calzaghe did wait too late in his career to go after big names. if he beats roy jones it will be another situation in which he beat a shot fighter. thats why i rather he fought kelly pavlik

Here's a tidbit of information that you never wanted to know:

On October 30, 1961, the Soviet Union tested the most powerful manmade weapon in the history of the world. The "Tsar Bomba" was a nuclear bomb dropped and detonated on a remote location in the Novaya Zemlya archipelago. The resulting explosion produced the equivalent of 50 megatons of TNT (the bomb was originally designed for 100 MTs, but was scaled down to half power). The heat from the blast would have caused third degree burns over 60 miles out. The blast could be seen and felt over 600 miles away. The bomb would have been more than enough to level any major metropolitan area, New York, London, Tokyo, Paris, Mumbai... etc. However, the Russians never dropped such a weapon on an enemy target.

You may say, "Nate, whats the point of this very long story? How does it pertain to a thread regarding Joe's resume" My answer.... "You can't say that the Soviets weren't capable of leveling any major city in the world just because they didn't put it into practice. They had the tools." Just because Joe hasn't faced all the people that people said he woulda, coulda, shoulda faced, doesn't mean that he wouldn't beat them. Ali never faced Alexander the Great, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have beaten him in a boxing match.

roy jones jr is a bigger joke because some ******s rank him as an ATG even though no one ducked, dodged, weaved and bobbed out of big meaningful fights like him

the thread starter has some valid points. calzaghe has had a good career but people should not get carried away. his best win is Kessler and thats about it. you need to do more to be in that legendary status.
