is it really an issue, or is it more like the Cortez job at Hatton/Mayweather?

Hatton was going to win the fight, and did. Sure, Lazcano caught him flush a couple of times and of course he won a couple of rounds too, but that fight was won convincingly by Ricky Hatton. Do you think Lazcano, as weak as he was, was capable of knocking out Hatton? Personally, I don't think so.

And regarding the comparison to the Mayweather fight... sure, it was bad judging, but you knew who was going to win it, bad judging or not.

It's bull**** ricky was close to being ko'd again but the british cheating ref saved the day. I will rip that video and post it up onto youtube a million times, so everyone can see how ricky was saved. Ricky held like the entire fight but once lacano held the ref jumps in? Calling it 120 - 108 was a joke IMO but hatton did win it and i dont get why people are going on about the 10th.

Ricky was buckled worse earlier in the fight and came back from it fine. I think at worst he gets knocked down, but not stopped. Total bull**** though (and Im a fan of Hatton.) The ref is supposed to wait for a slow down in the action to do that ****.

He was in Hattons pocket all night and it was so blatant , the same people that bagged Cortez is ok by this ref , what a load of bull**** , that ref interfered more than Cortez and was all over Lazcano and he did it when ever Hatton gestured he needed it , Hatton is very limited so he needs the help I guess .

I don't think either Cortez or this English ref did a good job. They did horrendous jobs, and this one may have costed Lazcano a knockdown.

I don't think they were instrumental in either fight, and in fact take away from the performance of the fighters because they don't need that kind of help.

And I agree, the ref was in Hatton's pocket all night.
