What's with Ricky and the left hook?

He telegraphs the **** out of every single one, leaving him completely vulnerable to the counter. You'd think he would have made it a top priority throughout camp being it was the reason Mayweather knocked him out. He was real close to going down tonight again when Lazcano landed a counter which was the result of Hatton throwing one of his own careless lefts. Good thing his shoe came undone. Besides that though he was decent. Maybe some stamina issues but he was about as good as I expected.

It's definitely a major flaw, I don't know if he can fix it.

His hook to the body is awesome but he should never use that leaping left hook again.

It's the punch that leaves him most open and the punch that contributed to his KO loss against Mayweather. Perhaps he fell in love with it after knocking out Maussa?

It'll never be fixed. It's so apparent he's going to throw it too. The whole setup of the punch seems to take 3 seconds.

It's a no-no unless you have the speed and reflexes of DLH, Mayweather, RJ and Gamboa. Most amateur trainers train their fighters to never throw a lead right or left, set it up with a jab a body shot whatever, just don't lead with it, especially the left hook.

He should have just told Lazcano when he was gonna throw it.
