Its a weird situation as you guys say he will loose credibility but 140 is his natural weight going on what he steps in the ring at to fight welters 149-151 , this is the weights Jnr welters step in the ring at so he is really fighting much bigger guys up at Welterweight ,, he would totally dominate the jnr welter class just like he dominated Hatton he would stop them all at 140 as his power to weight ratio goes up , I would love Floyd to fight Cotto but Ive always said Floyd is a jnr welterweight and you guys dont give him any credit at all for fighting bigger guys its like you like to see him handicapped , I dont know whats going on with Floyd and will sit back and see what happens but he dont lose credibility for me as what he has achieved so far doesnt alter and I believe he should have stayed at jnr Welter in the first place , he really only went up for Oscar , will be interesting what unfolds .

After Oscar, then fight the winner between Cotto/Margo, move back down to 140 to face Hatton/Pacquiao, would be cool.

Someone above suggested that a fight with Pacman is a bigger money fight then with Cotto...that is simply not correct-also Bob Arum owns both Pac and Cotto...do you really think he is going to let Floyd fight Pac instead of Cotto?

Most important is that Floyd should have taken care of Cotto two years ago at 140 pounds...Cotto was not comfortable with the weight and Floyd was just hands down a better boxer. Now Cotto is very comfrotable at his weight and has kept improving...with wins over Malinaggi, Judah and Mosley he has clearly shown he is ready for the next step...Floyd should have taken Cotto when he had all the advantages...now I dont see Floyd having an edge against the sports premier boxer/****er. You can bet ellerbe and the crew has quietly kicked themselves for not taking him out when it would have been more convenient.

I don't have any objection. He would clean out that division in quick time and impressive fashion.

If he moved down to 140 he would DEFINITELY be aiming for a Pac bout. Now if he fought Pac what the hell would be his reasoning for not fighting Cotto. By then I wll be one of the biggest Floyd detractors on the site. Bank on that.

Floyd was never a true welterweight anyway.

That would be my ideal scenario. Floyd faces Oscar in September, then Cotto early January or febuary. Hatton around June July then he can end his career against the number 2 p4p in Pac in September or December.
