Why don't Americans fight outside their own country?

Posters slate the Brits for not fighting outside their own country i.e America, yet they fail to acknowledge that the big time American fighters are reluctant to leave theirs.

I did ask this at one point. I belive the answer was that because America is the mecca of boxing, their fighters need not fight elsewhere. That is what i was told..

Because they wouldn't make as much money fighting in Argentina.

There's more competition here, plus most talented fighters from other countries flock to the US to be recognized.. .

There's really no need to leave.

        Duh.

Ask Paulie Malinaggi while he is there. . Seriously, it is usually because the big money is in the US. However as time passes that becomes less of a factor with boxing flourishing in Germany and other parts of the world.

What about England? Mayweather vs Hatton would make millions at Wembley.

The most money can be made in America. You think Ali would have fought in Africa or the Philipines if their governments hadn't backed the fights with their money? You have to be a flat out coward not to leave your country to fight for real money against real fighters in America...

Lacy did and got whopped. Yet people don't count that as a good win on Calzaghe's resume.
