Hatton: "A Mayweather Rematch Will Break all Records"

It's his way of saying ''Thank you to the fans'' apparently.Once you get that first taste of the big money and big event, you whore out.
Mayweather was always a greedy **** ("twelve million dollar contract? That's slave wages"). But after tasting some big-time PPV money (gatti, judah, baldomir), Floyd looks at the money FIRST. Eff the legacy.
Hatton is transparent now. There is NO WAY that this Lazcano fight should be a PPV fight.Comment

This might not be that far from the truth, especially if the match is held in Europe. But a big payday is all it would probably be because although I was rooting for Hatton, I didn't see anything in that fight that would suggest he could beat Mayweather.Comment

Yes, the only Croke Park I've ever heard of is in Dublin. Surely Hatton wouldn't make his fans trek all the way over there. Most would have to stay overnight somewhere, and that means BIG MONEY added to the cost of the ticket, plus the return fare.
I thought that the GAA were fanatical about allowing only Gaelic events, such as Gaelic Football and Hurling in Croke Park.
Wembley must be bigger....I think.Comment

When they talk about breaking "the outdoor record" they are obviously meaning attendance. There' no ther way to interpret it. So Hatton isn't so good at boxing history. Anyway I think that Jack Dempsey had a few attendance records too. I know that his Luis Firpo fight drew over 120,000, and I'm sure his Tunney and Carpentier fights must have been close to 100,000.ALL attendance records? Perhaps.
The important MONEY MAKING records, like PPV sales? I doubt it. Perhaps in the U.K. But, compared to what other U.K. fighters PPV sales?
Reading what he said, he made it seem like it was about attendance. But the headline doesn't. It makes it seem like ALL records. So, I'll assume it's both in a sense. And in general, the outdoor record.... that's a hard record to break. So, overall, I doubt he does this.
Julio Caesar Chavez probably had several huge attendance fights too, although not near his record breaking 136,000, but many tousands more than Hatton's presently expected 55,000 against Lazcano.Comment

YOU do Paulie malinaggi a big injustice. In today's **********.com he gives a long interview. Most of it is about his need to beat Hatton to get his rematch with Cotto. He thirsts for it. What he actually said was "Hatton is my ticket fot eh rematch with Cotto".
You must have seen his very brave effort in his previous Cotto fight, when he was outmatched in EVERY way but speed and bravery. Weight, size and punching power were very much in favour of Cotto. As well as experience.Comment
