I remember after the Holyfield fight Bert Cooper said on HBO that there would be "no more ESPN fights". Well that was the last highlight of Cooper's career and he did end up on ESPN, getting KO'd. Green talks too much for his own good.

who the hell does allan green think he is? the one time he was put on prime time on HBO did you forget what happened to you? apparently the beating that Pantera gave to you did cause some serious brain damage, not only were you on your knees pulling down Mirandas trunks but you were smiling with your eyes glazed aftear eating a straight right to the jaw, too many rights to head also make you forget that you had a fight and thats why ended up not showing up to the show at all, who cares though? the fight that actaully DID happen turned out to be a great fight between Michael Walker vs Antwun Echols, any way this is Allan Green's way of making it seem like HE is the one that does not want to fight on ESPN when im sure ESPN banned him after Green left them hangin the night of the fight, this is like knowing your girlfriend is gonna break up with you but u decide to break up with her first LoL......... Green you my friend have not beat anybody to make decicions like this, the best name on ur resume is Jerson Ravelo and Jerson was not at his best he was going through an injury but being the type of man that he is he went on with the fight, he could have did what you just did and not show up for the fight but he is a warrior and showed up, unlike you just vanished........

I like the guy. He has made some excuses and hasnt looked great lately, but I want to see him jump in with some other top fighter and see what happens.

Anyway, good to hear he has some respect for abilities now and is looking past the ESPN thing. Good luck Allan. Keep working hard and get some good wins and you will get your wish, a rematch with Pantera! I would love to see it (and Miranda would love for you to earn another shot at him too!)
A big fight like the one against Miranda where he got pummeled?
Green has no place with the top super-middleweights of today.

Man I hope he fixes himself up or comes back to earth, I wish someone camp would just have the balls to say, who the **** do you think you are? But in a nice friendly way! I liked watching his earlier fights, but you can't disappear and the only time people hear about you is because you didn't turn up for a fight then say your to big for ESPN. Maybe you should have KILLED in that fight, then said this is my last fight. Be different if when you took that last step up Miranda didn't make you look so bad. Hope he someone works out his problems, that seem to be mostly in his head.

I agree, there will be no more ESPN fights for him.

He has shown himself to be a liability for no-shows and will have a hard time securing TV dates. He should be ashamed of himself.

Miranda tore him up pretty good. But he has had his 'comeback' fights. My point is, step it up again, take a chance. If another top 10 guys makes you look bad then retire from boxing if ESPN is not for you. But at this point in his career, ESPN is doing nothing for him. He needs to get on a good undercard or BAD event against another lower top ranked guy, maybe Bika, Pascal or Zuniga. If he cant beat those guys then **** him. But at least take a shot.

I understand him wanting to fight on a bigger stage, but saying no more fight's on ESPN may burn some bridges with people. Let's see if this works out for him or not.

have you watched his last fights? he road on the contender hype way too long. and then talking out his ass so much.who has he beat? jaidon three years ago.hee hee big deal.
figured after his lackey showing against a washed up williams and then mentally ill statements and excuses in post fight interview that espn told him he'd have to pay espn to broadcast his fights.
he's relegated to being a test to up and comers and being an easy tuneup for contenders.

Green thinks he's the only world ranked fighter that still fights on ESPN? How can that be if Tomas Adamek and Julio Diaz are scheduled for bouts on the network in the next few months?

Does that mean he's gonna quit boxing, or moving to Telefutura?
