The Lightweight is the best Division and Why?

There are at least 8 fighters that are Elite boxers. The division has veteran fighters like Cassamayor and Campbell. Exciting fighters like Manny Pacquiao and Michael Katsidis. Up and coming fighters like Amir Khan and Anthony Peterson. Intelligent fighters like Juan Manuel Marquez and Joan Guzman. That is 8 not to mention David Diaz the champ, Jose Santa Cruz who got robbed against Cassamayor, the Baby Bull who I thought was top 3 untill he got exposed by the Galaxy warrior, and Mr. Boring Zahir Raheem. That is 12 reasons from top to bottom there is no debate.

No disrespect but the word elite is used far too often.

      I second that
WW is the hottest divsion right now, even thou lightweight is good.

The most aniticipated and could be foty year is coming from 147 Cotto vs Margarito. Everybody wants to see Cotto vs Floyd Mayweather in da future.

      WW is present and future

      Floyd Mayweather
      Cotto
      Margarito
      Paul Williams
      Quaitana
      Mosley
      Judah
      Berto
      Joshua Clottley
      Cintron
Ricky Hatton dipping in the mix sometimes
      Collazo
Oscar dela hoya (he should be considered WW since he only wants to fight them, Floyd/Cotto)
Paulie probably would come up to 147 just to get to Cotto, that tells u about WW!!!

WW is a Close 2nd. I agree that the bigger names are at 147 but the best division is the Lightweight Division

I dont know about your list of "ELITE" bro. Katsidis, Khan, Peterson are ELITE? I would say WW is still deeper but LW, WW, SMW are todays best weigth classes.

          I would say:
          Juan M.M.
          Pac.
          Casa
          Nate
          Diaz

          Guzman
          Katsidis
          Cherry
          Julio Diaz
          Khan
          Peterson

          WW:
          Cotto
          PBF
          DLH
          Mosley
          Margarito
          Quintana
          Williams
          Cintron
          Judah
          Clottey
Joel Julio (been fighting catch weights in hopes of going back to WW)
          Berto
          Collazo

Also a few jrWW thats have already or shown a willingness to fight at WW against the right opponents. Also some who may outgrow the weight class.
          Hatton
          Paulie
          Witter

Lightweight's hot because there's plenty of veterans and new prospects in the division. Plus, the top names can all be beat which makes for some great matchups.

Judah and Cintron have not beaten any body. They are both not worthy in the WW debate. Other than that I agree but still lightweight is more solid
