I would say IF he beats Hatton then he deserves a shot and gets a spot on Cotto's fight list but there are a bunch of names I would still put above him, but if those other fights arent made then yeah.

PBF, Mosley, Clottey, Quintana/Williams winner........then I would say pssibly Paulie if he wins against Hatton.

However Paulie should concentrate on his own division for now guys like Torres, Hopkins, Holt, Harris, Witter, Bradley.

I appreciate your boxing skill and the heart you showed not backing down from Cotto but you are a second tier fighter at 140 at my opinion maybe top 5 in that weight class. If you went to 147 where Cotto is you are not in the top 10. At 135 you are not in the top 10. Malignaggi is in my opinion has great marketability thats why Hatton is going after him and will Destroy him at 140.

You never know if he goes to 147 he could be a whole different fighter...look at Cotto he gained speed when he went up... 147 Malignaggi may gain some power

Paulie should give Ngoudjo a rematch first. It was a lot closer than the Cotto fight.

It doesn't usually work out that way.

Nah, you can't compare Cotto going up in weight to Paulie going up in weight. Cotto was killing himself and struggling to make weight at 140lbs and there are no indications that Paulie is struggling to make jrWW.

Its more like Pacquiao who struggled to make weight at 112 and was KO'd. He went up in weight and has shown an improvement when not drying out as badly.

Miguel Angel will both his eye sockets out if ever they cross path again atop the ring so paulie better forget about a rematch.

I think he'll decision Hatton (at the very least make it a close fight), but Cotto would steamroll him. Cotto's improved and gotten a lot stronger, Malignaggi should be worried about getting his right hand fixed and beating up on guys his size.
Did he use chia pet shampoo with those dreads?? I've watched alot of interviews and never noticed anything but guido hair. What gives?

Once again...(so borrow a very famous line), "yall must have forgot!"...

(and another famous line altered for fun...)

                    THERES ONLY 1111111111111111 MALIGNAGGI!!!!

haha but seriously he'll beat hatton; no doubt in my mind...he's the superior boxer and he fights like he is then he'll win a decision...if he pulls a "zab judah" then he will get ko'd like cotto ko'd judah...after judah pulled a judah...

as far as cotto goes that rematch should NEVER happen unless paulie does something crazy like unify's the 140 titles and just absolutely puts on a full out clinic for every opponent he faces at 140...

can he unify the titles? if he beats hatton then i dont doubt it at all...hatton is the biggest threat at 140 to paulie and everyone else in my opinion.

will he be able to be dominant at 140 and have like 10-15 successful/consecutive title defenses? doubt it...he defends it successfully probably 7 times at best...5 is probably more likely.

but hatton isnt going to do anything as far as beating paulie goes.
