Pavlik will have a short career..

Kelly Pavlik is the man at middle right now..
I love to watch him fight
Hes exciting, throws tons of punches, comes forward etc

Now, he does take a lot of punishment to win his fights and thats why I think he's going to have a short career.. I don't want him to sound punchy, and I don't want him to retire and go out like my favorite fighter Arturo Gatti..

What are your thoughts on this? Anyone see it like I do?

You know what? I've thought that before too. Let's enjoy it while it lasts.

I don't think he takes that much punishment, his defence is actually underrated, he keeps his hands up most of the time and was actually blocking a lot of Taylor's punches in the last 2 fights.

I think he will have a long career.

I do agree he'll have a shorter career then most fighters, ive got alot of his fights, and hes been in some wars BEFORE he was champ, not to mention he has to work his ass of to make middleweight, the weight drain plus the wars could take its toll, something which could happen to Cotto too

He does need to improve his defense because if he doesn't, I agree that he won't have a very long career.

              Time will tell!

Barrera, Morales, Castillo, Johnson, Margarito, Winky, etc. They all had pretty good runs. A few of them are still running hard.

If all his fights were like the Miranda fight then he'd have a VERY short career, the guys that have short careers are usually guys who take a lot of punishment in every fight.

His defense in the second Taylor fight was better. I don't think his career will be over in like two or three years, but I don't think he'll be one of those fighters that fights too long.
