Way more than 5 questions there but I guess they are 2 and 3 part questions.
Question one part
A) Is Cotto great?
A fighter that beats 2 of the best fighters in his last division and (if he beats Margarito) defeated the top fighters in the BEST DIVISION in boxing isn't great?
Part B)
When was last time he wasn't favorite?
Who gives a **** he is fighting the best fighters in the BEST DIVISION what more can you ask?
Question 2)
If Cotto fights PBF will it be 2 great fighters or will Cotto be a Hatton?
How the hell do you compare Hatton's win over Tzu and Collazo to Cotto's body of work especially if when he defeats Margarito. Also read my resonse for question 1 and add If Cotto beats Margarito to get your answer if there will be two great fighters.
Question 3)
Why isn't Cotto drawing like Tito?
Who gives a ****. Are Cotto or PBF paying you child support? Do you wish to talk about greatness and legacy or pay-per-view buys, bling and bank accounts?
Question 4)Is Cotto-Margarito going to be a huge commercial success?
Again who gives a ****, are 2 of the best in the division fighting.......that should be your question here.
Question 5)Is Miguel really a jrMW?
Are you serious with this question? Cotto is far from the biggest in the division, Margarito/Williams/Cintron/Clottey/Collazo/Gomez are all bigger than him.
The question is also moot since the man makes the weight before the fight as contracted and also meets the WBA weight markers leading up to the fight. WBA weight's fighters at 1month prior to fight and 1 week before the fight.
A question for you. Even if you hold to the oppinion that PBF is the WW champ, If Cotto beats Margarito is he not CLEARLY at minimum the #1 contender?
Should Champions not fight #1 contenders?Comment

Concerning you question below the bold text, it would be like Duran vs Leonard, but Cotto is not Roberto Duran. He wont allow Floyd to tag him like that and get inside his head, I just cannot imagine that happening- Especially the thought of Cotto giving up.
I'm not fully sure, but this has nothing to do with Cotto's Physical or mental abilities and it sure doesn't have anything to do with him deserving the fight.
My answer above would apply to Margarito as well, but Cotto is a more well known fighter. They aren't on dancing with the stars, their not connected to any big American Rappers, or fighting superstar fighters known in Hollywood.
They just don't get that exposure and maybe they don't want it
The outcome of what you are trying to say is something I will have to agree on. Cotto should not enter the ring at a weight above 150. It is not fair to the opponent in the ring, but there is no rule against entering the ring above the welter weight status. So I see that as Cotto either having trouble making weight or trying to gain a Physical advantage over his opponents.
I'm not sure myself, but does he always enter above 154?
Cotto has been on cloud 9 before he was even a champion,
Now that Cotto has become boxing Last hope to become the Anti-Floyd....., He has left himself no room to grow as a fighter... To have the experience to be able to defeat Mayweather and it's now too late. So much hype and money have went in to this kid, and I mean kid, that he has to fight the best in the division now.
You are not giving Cotto much credit, he has the experience and skill to beat Floyd. He may not have the defensive countering skills of Floyd, but he has the power, ring control, ability to put the right type of pressure on Floyd (not just clinching him every few seconds or forcing Floyd to clinch), and he has youth (though that may not matter much).
It was a tune up fight. Not even Hbo hyped as much as people on this forum
I believe Mosley was a very formidable challenge for Cotto. Mosley was active and looked excellent. Mayweather fought De la Hoya, who hadn't fought in eleven months and hadn't fought at welter weight in years. And he still gave Mayweather a tough fight, which Mayweather barley won.
I can't say much about this, but Judah still gave him a tough fight & he was in very good shape. You can not knock Cotto for this one.
He now has to fight Prime,Active, Young , P4P, Highly ranked Fighters....
There is no more grace time.....The Time is Now....
And His First Test is Margarito....
Remember Cotto has never had to beat a Champion For his Title...He has always fought fellow contenders for vacant titles....
Let me say I don't think this was a bad thread. And I am a Cotto fan, but I also like Floyd. Just not his media antics in boxing to hype a fight or his constant bragging of supposedly being the greatest boxer.
Hopefully you and a few other people will read my postComment
