500 ppv was never a the real Critieria for the a Fight between Cotto/Margarito V Mayweather to be made...It was just you not being very smart.

I hope you really can tell the diffrence between Reality and things posted in a forum.

Lets be honest you never thought it would ever come close to half a mill in buys...you just through that number out there cause you figured it was safe enough were you wouldnt look like a NumbSkull if it got that high...
If you read the first post it makes perfect sense. If they fought today dont get mad when Floyd wants 70%.

They fought at 154 cause Dela Hoya wouldnt have been competitive at 147...At the time May fought Dela he wasn't considered anything but an old Dela Hoya...

Carlos Baldomir was going to get battered by the first real contender he came up against...so like i said all you have to do is wait for the right time...beat a bum and proclaim yourself champion of a division.

You sound very unknowledgeable, they fought at 154 because Oscar was the champ at 154.

I personally don't care if Cotto or Margarito ever get into the ring with Mayweather...theres other big fish out there...especially for 70% of the purse.

Cotto said that he woudn't chase May and he hasn't...Just a quick history lesson though.

Shane Mosley wouldnt fight May back in the day cause of the split ...well they say other reasons...basicly it was over money....Now It's role reversal May won't give Mosley a rumble and Mosley is bitching.

WHo's to say Cotto doesn't beat Clottey then Pacman and become a huge draw himself...he's already upward of 450 k without a superstar like May or Pacman on his resume.

Then what...you got May coming to Cotto....and thats fine by me.

LOL I was actually at the fight Mayorga won his championship at that weight.

God it was awful. Against Michelle Picirillo. How Mayorga got a crack at a 154 championship after losing to Spinks and Trinidad I will never know.

It's kind of like how Zab was proclaimed the welterweight king after splitting two fights with Spinks and beating Cosme Rivera.

Marquez isn't that popular and Floyd wants him because he's small. But i'm sure Mexican fans will tune in to see if he gets his butt whooped. This is just another excuse not to fight the best. But I wonder why he fought Carlos Manuel Baldomir and not any of the real welterweights.

haha...you think Dela wouldn't have vacated that title in a second for a multi million dollar fight with May....Belts don't mean a god damn thing...If Dela Hoya could have made it to 147 he would have but he couldnt...and we see what happend to him when he tried...he would have come for those ww belts if he thought he could go down and not be a shell of himself.

You sound "unknowledgeable" to what the boxing game is all about.

which is hard to believe coming from a "Money" fan.
