Most of all I would say Tito-Vargas. Vargas's people should've protected him better. He was too young, I believe that fight ruined Vargas and smothered what could've been a much better career.

Not really because David Reid had a problem with one of his eyes, he suffered a freak accident that damaged nerves in his eyelid so that it wouldn't open fully and it would progressively get worse as his life went on so they had to rush him to have that one big payday.

Ali never should've come back against Holmes and Berbick.

Reid didn't have that many pro fights, but Reid was not as young as Vargas and was going to have to make the jump in caliber that year anyway if he wanted to have a meaningful career. Reid was 27-28 and at a mans usual physical peak.

Vargas was just 23 and didn't need to make that jump for another year or two. He was already fighting good/very good competition and getting good exposure without having to make that jump to elite.
