I honestly think Wladimir would retire if would be knocked out by Tony Thompson. despite the fact that he has been one of the 5 most dominant fighters in the sport for the past couple years he is still written off and short changed because of his past failures. I think he is aware that should he lose to thompson in embarassing fashion he will never again be "the champ"

The answer to this question is quite obvious, really.

Well, if that SOMEHOW happened, the division would suck.. EVEN MORE. Unless, like I suspect, Wlad gets a rematch and then resumes what he WAS SUPPOSED to be doing. He can't lose bad, no matter what. Otherwise, I just don't see it with him.

We all know how Wlad's fights go by now.

Either he dominates a fighter OR he gets knocked out. He is better then 95% of all the heavyweights.

The one guy who actually stood up to him and didn't just get lucky was Samuel Peter. He is one of the few who took Wlad to distance and was competitive doing it.

Should the fight again, I will be rooting for Peter because Wlad is getting boring.

And even if he did, you wouldn't mention it.

Quiet as kept, Thopson may be the best guy Wlad has faced. Thompsons career and style resemble Winky Wright in many ways. He's fought in obscurity. He couldnt land big fights because he has a defensive style and can box effectively. Top it off with the fact that he is physically tall with long arms. I'm expecting a few surprises...
