firstly, Joe openly says Pavlik is a potential opponent this year, and probably the 2nd most likely after Roy. 3rd is Tarver. Guess you didn't know that, and/or decided Joes some kind of compulsive liar.

Calzaghe easily beats a Tarver whom looked un convincing against a Woods that didn't turn up. He easily beats a Dawson, that a large portion of people believe lost to Johnson, and wasn't all that. Most agree he'd beat Pavlik. Virtually all of those would be under dogs by various degrees, because he's regarded as no. at two weight divisions.

The only person I see beating Joe is Johnson, and he wasn't massively convincing against Dawson so Calzaghe just beats him too.
