    KESSLER: Informative and honest interviews.

    Lately there has been some good interviews with Kessler on TeamPalle. Some has been mention on here, but now they all are translated in to English. Credit to "van the man" from ESB boxing.

    I hope one of the links works.....

      As someone else pointed out to me, Kessler isn't really making excuses, he's just being honest about why he lost. What he says about his own game and how it contributed to the loss is accurate. He also admits that Calzaghe was the better boxer. I think its refreshing and bodes well for his future if he's able to turn his observations into a better fight game.

      Not sure about the injured hand, but if it was injured he has every right to believe it affected him.

        kessler didn't have the experience to beat calzaghe at this time in his career he's lucky he didn't even get ko'd that night. That body shot really hurt him and he is lucky the ref broke up the two of them when he did. He's a good fighter but the fight was actually closer then I expected it was going to be, since Calzaghe had the experience over Kessler. Thats not knocking Calzaghe I'm just more impressed by Calzaghes resume then I am of Kessler.

          He cries injury all the time. If the guy is so injured he should just retire.

          He said he had an injured back against Mundine yet he threw 200 more punches than he has averaged for other 12 round bouts across his career. The same with Calzaghe which showed similar numbers.

          Hes not a good sport. Blaming injury for a loss is the most annoying thing for a winner to be dissed with.

          Kessler = Sore Loser!

          There is no other way to explain it.

          When he looses again it will be his leg, which is injured!

            If Kessler loses his next fight, then he will look like **** because the guy he is fighting I've never even heard of.

              "If a football player (soccer player), due to some foot injury misses out on some training sessions before vital matches then this player will loose some of his touch. That's obvious. But the hand was treated and it didnt hurt or cause problems of any kind. In this manner I can accept that my first defeat may have its explanation in strategic issues surrounding my preparations."

              Seems to me he's saying, "yeah, the hand injury interrupted my training a little and affected my timing, but to be honest I admit that the loss was really down to `stategic issues`."

              He isn't saying `look, it was my bad hand, that's why I lost`.

                I think Kessler should take charge of his own career, Palle is just stalling him. Mikkel is prone to injuries so he may only be able to fight maybe twice a year, and Palle has him wasting himself fighting this guy?

                How is Kessler ever going to be able to prove himself like this? Kessler needs tough fights and he needs to face adversity in the ring. If he doesn't we will see another fight down the road where he will not know how to deal with a tough fighter and he lose again.

                He has all the tools, let the poor guy learn the intangibles dammit. Let him get pissed off and want to tear people apart. Then you will see his full potential.

                A mean Kessler would be a devastating Kessler.
